Lancome Genifique vs L'oreal Youth Code

I've always looked younger than my actual age. I'll be 25 this year, so I'm constantly looking for new products to preserve my 17-19 year old face :P  I have a grandma that's in her 80's from Dominica, and she hardly has any wrinkles!

I tried a sample of the Lancome Genifique Youth Activating Concentrate awhile a ago and loved it. The price is what's keeping me from purchasing it. It's $60 for .67 oz, $80 for 1 oz, $100 for 1.7 oz, and $130 for 2.5 oz. I searched online to see if there was a cheaper alternative and there is. L'Oreal Youth Code Serum is basically the same thing as Lancome's Youth Activating Concentrate. ** L'Oreal owns Lancome**

On the website (english version), it said that the Royal Jelly mask can efficiently nourish your skin while, simultaneously, reducing fine lines and plump your skin.  It can provide your skin with brightness, smoothness, etc.  When it's translated from Chinese it says that it has whitening properties (I'm not sure if Google Translate is accurate or not. It showed me a translated version after I reviewed my order).

I'm a little worried because it said nothing about whitening the skin in English. If I would have known that, I wouldn't have purchased it. It's too late to change my order now. There are different description of what this mask does on different websites. Hopefully, this will just brighten up my complexion and keep me brown^^

Recommend? Yes if you like to splurge or try new products. No if you're on a budget.

Verdict:
The Color Fever Gloss line has colors with and without shimmer. Inferno is a peachy-beige color with gold shimmer. It has a lovely rose scent that will go away in about 15 minutes. Inferno is a nice nude color that compliments my skin tone. It doesn't feel sticky or tacky. This lip gloss doesn't dry out my lip, but keeps them moisturized. The lip sculpt applicator scoops up the right amount of lip gloss.  I love the color, but I wish it had longer staying power. I guess it lasts a little longer than most of my other lip glosses. Other than that, I think that it's a nice lip gloss.

Cover Girl Lash Blast Review

Hello everyone! Today I'm doing a review on Covergirl Lashblast Mascara. I never tried it when it first came out(I know I'm a little late^^). My little sister loves this mascara and told me to try it out. I bought 2 of these when there was the $8 off  2 Cover Girl products coupon.

HUGE BRUSH

★ Scent? Very Strong. I hate the smell of it!

★ Volume? There was some volume but there was no wow factor.

★ Clumps? Not really

★ Price? $6-8

★ Repurchase? No

Verdict:

This seems like a regular ol' mascara to me. There's nothing special about it. I hardly use it because I can't get past the awful smell. It makes me sick :(  The brush applicator is huge and the bristles are too short. A lot of people complain that it's too hard to remove. I just use olive oil to remove the mascara and it works just fine. I still have one more mascara, and I'm thinking about giving it away.

Quality?  Made very well. Sturdy

Smell?  It didn't really have a smell

Shedding?  I haven't had any shedding

Verdict:

I bought Sigma Beauty's F82 Brush on Black Friday. I needed a new makeup brush because my Bare Minerals brushes shed way too much. I bought the Bare Minerals kit with the brushes, because a lady that worked there said that their brushes were the only ones that will pick up every trace of foundation when you do the swirl and tap. I use this brush with my bare mineral foundation and it picks up every trace of foundation just like the Bare Minerals brush.

I love Sigma Beauty's F82 brush because I can blend my foundation into my skin instead of having it sit on top of my skin. This brush is very soft and I haven't had any problems with it shedding. No more bristles on my face!! I chose the F82 brush over the F80 brush, because I liked that it can apply foundation underneath the eyes as well as on the sides of your nose. I'm happy with my purchase and I would like to buy the Synthetic Essential Kit one day. If you're looking to buy new makeup brushes try out Sigma Beauty!
