What it looks like :)

Before

After

★ Scent? Light

★ Feel on Skin? Lightweight. It goes on smoothly.

★ Skin Type? All skin types

Verdict:

This is my first BB Cream ever! I was very excited to try L'Oréal's Magic BB Cream, because it said that it self-adjusts to your skin tone. Cool right? Well...I wore it a few times and did not like it. This BB cream made my face an ashy gray color. It didn't perfect any flaws or correct my skin tone. It did however make my skin texture smooth, felt hydrating, and it didn't break me out.

Disclaimer:  I received this product complimentary from SheSpeaks/L'Oréal in order to provide an evaluation. Opinions are my own.

L'Oreal Voluminous False Fiber Lashes Mascara Review

"L'Oreal introduces voluminous false fiber lashes mascara. Our lash sculpting fiber formula adheres to lashes for a volumized, sculpted lash effect. Lashes appear fuller, longer, sculpted and curled at every angle. Clump-free, flake-free, smudge-free."

Before photo
*My lashes are naturally curly

After Photo

★ Scent? I guess it's supposed to be fragrance free, but it smells like bubbles to me. (You know like the bubble mix)

★ Consistency: A little on the dry side

★ Volume?
Yes

★ Clumps? No

★ Price? $7.98 and up

★ Repurchase? Yes

Verdict:

I really like this mascara!  I was freaked out at first because when I opened it up I thought that there were tiny eyelashes on my unused wand, but it was just the fibers that are in the mascara^^  I haven't had any problem with it clumping up on my lashes, and  it  gives me the right amount of  length and volume. It gives my bottom lashes a dolly like effect but, it tends to flake if I add 2 coats on my bottom lashes. Other than that, it's great.

Have you tried this mascara? Do you love it or hate it?

Disclaimer: I did not purchase this mascara. I won it in a contest.

Lancome Genifique vs L'oreal Youth Code

I've always looked younger than my actual age. I'll be 25 this year, so I'm constantly looking for new products to preserve my 17-19 year old face :P  I have a grandma that's in her 80's from Dominica, and she hardly has any wrinkles!

I tried a sample of the Lancome Genifique Youth Activating Concentrate awhile a ago and loved it. The price is what's keeping me from purchasing it. It's $60 for .67 oz, $80 for 1 oz, $100 for 1.7 oz, and $130 for 2.5 oz. I searched online to see if there was a cheaper alternative and there is. L'Oreal Youth Code Serum is basically the same thing as Lancome's Youth Activating Concentrate. ** L'Oreal owns Lancome**

Here are the ingredients below:

Lancome Genifique Youth Activating Concentrate

Sample
Water, Bifida Ferment Lysate, Glycerin, Alcohol Denat., Dimethicone, Hydroxyethylpiperazine Ethane Sulfonic Acid, Sodium Hyaluronate, Phenoxyethanol, Adenosine, Peg-20 Methyl Glucose Sesquistearate, Peg-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Salicyloyl Phytosphingosine, Ammonium Polyacryloyldimethyl Taurate, Limonene, Xanthan Gum, Caprylyl Glycol, Disodium Edta, Octyldodecanol, Citric Acid, Citronellol, Fragrance, Sodium Benzoate.

L'Oreal Youth Code Serum

Full Sized

Water, Bifida Ferment Lysate, Glycerin, Alcohol Denatured, Dimethicone, Hydroxyethylpiperazine Ethane Sulfonic Acid, PEG-20 Methyl Glucose Sesquistearate, Sodium Hyaluronate (Hyaluronic Acid), Palmitoyl Oligopeptide, Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide 7, Adenosine, Ammonium Polyacrylatedimethyl Taurate, Disodium EDTA, Caprylyl Glycol, Citric Acid, Xanthan Gum, N Hydroxysuccinimide, Chrysin, Octyldodecanol, Sodium Benzoate, Limonene, Fragrance.

Both have:

Water, Bifida Ferment Lysate, Glycerin, Alcohol Denat., Dimethicone, Hydroxyethylpiperazine Ethane Sulfonic Acid, Sodium Hyaluronate, Peg-20 Methyl Glucose Sesquistearate, Adenosine, Ammonium Polyacryloyldimethyl Taurate, Limonene, Xanthan Gum, Caprylyl Glycol, Sodium Benzoate, Disodium Edta, Citric Acid, Octyldodecanol, Fragrance.

They both have 18 ingredients that are the same plus, Youth Code is way cheaper. $19.99-$24.99 for 1 oz! If you're looking for a cheaper alternative to Lancome's Genifique Youth Activating Concentrate, try L'Oreal's Youth Code Serum.

Lancome Gel Radiance

I signed up a few months ago to be a product tester for L'Oréal, and to my surprise I was accepted!  You take surveys and those surveys determine whether or not you qualify for a certain study. If you qualify, you are sent out products to test.  Sadly, I haven’t been qualified for any of the studies that they had going on but, I was sent a thank you gift. I thought that they would send out a little sample size product but it is full sized!  I've never used a Lancome  product before, so I was excited to try it out.

Lancome Gel Radiance

“A Luxurious Balance of Science and Nature: Reveal Purified, Pampered Skin. This clarifying gel cleanser water-activates into a  refreshing foam to gently remove makeup and impurities. Skin feels squeaky clean, soft, smooth and looks beautifully radiant.”

I was getting ready to buy a cleanser for me to use and night, but this one came right on time. Like the product says it’s a gel-to-foam cleanser. All you need is a pea–sized amount to cover your entire face.

As you all know (or should know by now ^^), I have very sensitive skin. This cleanser did not irritate my skin nor did it make my skin fell dry and tight after use.  It’s has a lovely floral scent.  It does a pretty good job at removing make up that’s not waterproof.  There was still a little bit of my waterproof gel eyeliner left on my eyes after I washed my face with this cleanser. If your makeup is waterproof, I suggest you use whatever you use to remove waterproof makeup first.

I really like this cleanser and I would purchase it myself.  My skin fells soft and looks radiant when I wake up.  This cleanser would be suitable for those of you with combination to oily skin. Lancome also has a Cream-to-Foam cleanser that might be more suitable for those of you with dry skin.

If you are interested in applying to become a L'Oréal Product Tester, just click here and fill out their questionnaire to see if you qualify.

My February Favs:

1.) Maybelline Great Lash- Blackest Black Mascara

2.) L’Oreal Hip Shadow Duo- Saucy

3.) L’Oreal Hip Shadow Duo- Gilded

4.) Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Nail Polish- Blue Me Away

5.) Revlon Color Stay Mineral Finishing Powder- Sunkiss Radieux

6.)Maybelline Eye Studio Gel Eyeliner - Blackest Black

7.) InColor Squeeze n’ Shine Lip Gloss- Pink Punk

I really like L’Oreal’s Hip Shadow Duo in “Saucy.” I use both of these colors plus the darker color from the “Gilded ”duo to make a cute smokey brown eye. I also use Maybelline’s Great Lash Mascara and Gel Eyeliner to complete the look. Maybelline’s Eye Studio Gel Eyeliner is the first gel eyeliner that I have ever purchased and I love it. It lasts all day and it really is the blackest black lol!

I love Sally Hansen’s nail polish in “Blue Me Away.” I bought it because I wanted a nail color that POPS and this blue really pops. You can see this nail color from across the room!

I use the Revlon Color Stay Finishing Powder all over my face or as bronzer. My only con with this is that it is really shimmery. I heard that the “Suntan Matte” finishing powder is less shimmery, so I might try that one.

And lastly, I love the InColor lip gloss in “Pink Punk.” The color looks great on my lips. It has sparkles in it, but I can’t really see them when I’m wearing it. It smells great too. It kind of smells like strawberry cake batter!
