Wen Hair Care Review

I've been using a product on my hair called Wen for about 3 months now. A family member, who is a hair stylist, recommended this product. Wen is a hair care line created by a Los Angeles stylist named Chaz Dean.

“What sets WEN® apart from the rest is its cleansing conditioner, a single-step process that cleanses and conditions the hair simultaneously.
Unlike many ordinary shampoos, WEN®cleansers are made with natural ingredients and contain no sodium laurel sulfate or other damaging detergents. They don't lather; instead, they create smooth foam when mixed with water for shinier, healthier-looking, more manageable result”.

I have the 3 months supply deluxe kit. It comes with a 3 months supply of Cleansing Conditioner,  1 Styling Creme, and 1 Re Moist Intensive Hair Treatment.  It also came with 2 bonus items: Wen Texture Balm and a wide tooth shower comb.

Wen Cleansing Conditioner

WEN® Cleansing Conditioner is a revolutionary new concept in hair care. A 5-in-1 formula, this one product takes the place of your shampoo, conditioner, deep conditioner, detangler and leave-in conditioner. It cleanses hair thoroughly but without lathering and all the harsh ingredients that may be found in ordinary shampoos—it is designed so it won't strip your hair and scalp of their natural oils. Your hair is left with sheen, moisture, manageability and better color retention.

Wen Styling Creme

Instead of using a gel for hold and a polishing gloss for shine, you can achieve both with WEN® Styling Crème. This creamy styling product is designed to help promote moisture, shine and body all in one formula. It's also designed to manage split ends while improving texture and providing frizz control.

Wen Re Moist Intensive Hair Treatment
This intensive hair mask was designed for use before and after any chemical treatment or to de-stress hair. It's designed to add the ultimate moisture, body, and shine to restore and strengthen even extremely damaged hair.

Wen Texture Balm
WEN® Texture Balm is the ideal finishing touch for creating looks with definition, separation and texture. It's designed to provide hold and shape for long or short hairstyles.

Wen Wide Tooth Shower Comb

This hand-finished, saw-cut, wide tooth shower comb is specially designed to evenly distribute WEN®Cleansing Conditioner through your hair.

Pros:

☆ The Cleansing Conditioner and the Intensive Hair Treatment detangles my hair, and leaves it soft and manageable.

☆ You can leave the conditioner in your hair for as long as you want.

It makes my hair appear thicker.

My hair looks and feels healthy.

My dry hair feels moisturized for days.

Cons:

It's expensive

☆ I would not recommend you using the comb if you have curly or coarse textured hair.  I felt that the comb might break my hair so I do not use it.

The Cleansing Conditioner didn't cleanse, but it did condition my hair. I ended up having to shampoo my hair first before using the cleansing conditioner. I like the concept of having a shampoo that shampoos and conditions, but this didn't do what it claimed to do.

It’s difficult to rinse out. If you don’t rinse it out all the way, you will have the cleansing conditioner residue left on your scalp.

The Texture Balm and the Styling Cream didn't really do anything for my hair.

In conclusion, I think that this product is ok.  I would probably only buy the Cleansing Conditioner and the Intensive Hair Treatment. There are a lot of mixed views on this product, but everyone is different. You can purchase these products and more  from the links below:
